Can you believe there’s just over three months left until the Class of 2011 walks across the stage to accept diplomas? Wow, where has the time gone? For most of us, it seems like this school year has only just begun but I realize that for seniors (having once been one myself), the days are dragging by and it looks as though the end of May will never get here! Graduation of the Class of 2011 came to mind after a wonderful photo shoot Sunday for Mallory, a high school senior at Faith Baptist Christian Academy.
Almost two years ago, I had photographed the wedding of one of Mallory’s relatives and at the reception, her mom asked me for a business card. She told me that in a couple of years she would have a daughter graduating high school and she was going to call me to take the pictures. Sure enough, that time has come and her mom remembered my card. Wow, was I surprised to get the call for the appointment!
It was a great photo shoot! Mallory had a perfect smile, gorgeous skin and was totally easy to photograph! Since I hadn’t had a senior shoot since before Christmas, I was eager to try out the new backgrounds on someone and Mallory didn’t seem to mind at all.
We spent two full hours with different backgrounds in the studio and some quick photos at Barnard Park in Glennville. Afterwards, we all had just enough time to get back to our homes, grab some pizza, and pile up for the Super Bowl! (Okay, that might have just been me, but it worked out great!) lol
Thanks, Mallory, for all of your patience with me during the photo shoot. I tend to really get into it and it’s fun when the one being photographed is having a good time too!
Her mom and grandma came along for the fun too, and both of them ooohhed and aaahhhhed at appropriate times when I was showing off the tiny 3 inch photo on the back of the digital camera! lol. Wonderful!
I wish you the very best that life has to offer, Mallory! Enjoy your time at college and live life to the fullest! Thank you for allowing me to take your senior photos for you!
